The Green Uganda Project is an ambitious environmental initiative launched in 2025 by the Past Presidents of the Rotary Club of Kalisizo, aiming to plant 1 million trees by 2030.
This effort is in direct response to the growing
challenges of climate change, deforestation, biodiversity loss, and soil degradation in
Uganda and beyond.
We believe that by planting trees, we are not just restoring forests — we are restoring hope, livelihoods, and life itself.
Absorb carbon dioxide and help fight climate change, Improve air quality and reduce heat, Provide shade, food, and medicine, Prevent soil erosion and protect water sources, Support wildlife and biodiversity, Create jobs and boost local economies
Schools, Public lands, Degraded forest areas, Wetland buffer zones, Community farms.
Sponsor the planting and care of trees. Just $1 plants 1 tree.
Join hands as a corporate, NGO, government agency, or academic institution. We welcome co-branded initiatives, research collaborations, and technical support.
Help with planting, community outreach,
monitoring, or logistics. We need hands on the ground and hearts in the mission.
